“In Conflict with Kismet” airing on BET
The first short from writer/director Dani Dixon,“In Conflict with Kismet,” is set to make its U.S. television debut on BET (www.BET.com). After a successful festival run, "Kismet" will premiere on the BET Special “Lens On Talent,” with an encore screening on BET’s sister channel, BETJ.
“Everyone gave this film their best. I’m extremely happy and proud that all their incredibly beautiful work will be seen by such a large audience,” says Dixon.
In addition to having her short air on a national channel, an accomplishment for any new writer/director, Dixon is one of a select group of filmmakers being considered for the Johnson & Johnson sponsored “Lens On Talent” Contest. Dixon, perhaps better known for the intricate worlds she creates in comic books, would certainly make memorable use of Lens On Talent's grand prize - $100,000 to produce her next short film. Additionally, the winner’s new short will premiere on BET.
